About Dr. Grysman
A recognized expert in the field of psychotherapy, Benjamin Grysman, Ph.D., brings years of institutional training and independent research in mental health disorders to his practice at Queens Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Psychology, PLLC, in Kew Garden Hills, Flushing, New York.
Dr. Grysman attended Queens College, City University of New York in Queens. He completed his master’s and doctorate degrees at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. After graduation, Dr. Grysman continued his training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and CHE Behavioral Health Services, both in New York.
Dr. Grysman is known for his expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), evidence-based psychotherapy that he uses to treat patients with depression, eating and anxiety disorders, phobias, and panic attacks. He also finds great success using CBT for morbidly obese patients receiving counseling as part of Queens Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Psychology, PLLC’s, overall wellness program.
Despite his extensive training and many years practicing as a private psychologist, Dr. Grysman takes pride in his own continuing education through ongoing research and teaching commitments. He stays on top of the latest in psychotherapy treatments through his active engagement in the community and is currently an instructor at the Touro College and University System in New York.
Dr. Grysman is often invited as a guest lecturer for medical students, residents, and other medical professionals. He is an active member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the American Psychology Association.
